1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
SILICONFOREST UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Grävenhorster Straße 6
28755 Bremen
Germany
Email: [email protected]
Nutropica is a purely informational website. There are no user accounts, no contact forms and no newsletter, so we do not ask you to enter any personal data.
2. Hosting and delivery of the website
2.1 Hosting (IONOS)
This website is hosted on a server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
Each time a page is requested, the web server automatically records the date and time, the requested URL, the referring page, the browser and operating system used, the HTTP status code and the amount of data transferred, together with the IP address of the requesting connection (server log files). Because all requests reach our server via Cloudflare (see 2.2), these log files normally contain IP addresses of Cloudflare and not your own IP address.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website. The log files are rotated automatically according to their size and then deleted; at the current traffic level this happens after about six months.
2.2 Cloudflare (content delivery, security, statistics)
We use services of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare"). All requests to this website are routed through the Cloudflare network, which delivers the content quickly, caches it and protects the website against attacks. In doing so, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical request data described in 2.1.
Icon fonts and animation stylesheets are loaded from cdnjs, a public library service operated by Cloudflare. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set cookies, does not use local storage and does not create user profiles.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in a fast, secure and stable website and in anonymous reach measurement. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the transfer to the USA is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
3. Cookies and local storage
We only store information on your device or read it from your device where this is strictly necessary for a function you have requested (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG) or where you have given your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG). In detail:
- PHPSESSID – technically necessary session cookie for operating the website. It is deleted when you close your browser.
- cookie_consent, cookie_analytics, cookie_marketing – store your choice in the cookie banner so that it is not shown again on every page. Technically necessary, storage period 12 months.
- preferred_language, returning_visitor – are only set when you actively select a language, so that you are taken directly to your language on your next visit. The language is also kept in the session storage of your browser for the current session. Technically necessary for the function you requested, storage period 12 months.
- _ga, _ga_MFVZYML85P – Google Analytics cookies that distinguish visitors. They are only set after your consent (see Section 4). Storage period up to 2 years.
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you choose between "Accept All" and "Essential Only". If you choose "Essential Only", only the technically necessary cookies listed above are used. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the cookies for nutropica.org in your browser settings; the cookie banner will then appear again and you can make a new choice. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.
4. Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you click "Accept All", we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics records how our website is used, for example the pages visited, the time spent on them, the referring website, the device type, browser, operating system and approximate location.
Your IP address is shortened by Google before it is stored; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses of users in the EU. With your consent, Google may also use the data for advertising purposes.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. The data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The analytics data is deleted after the retention period set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months). More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. Amazon affiliate links
Nutropica participates in the Amazon EU Associates Program. Some links on this website lead to products on Amazon; if you buy something there, we receive a commission. Our website does not load any Amazon scripts and does not set any Amazon cookies.
Only when you click on such a link do you leave our website. Amazon (Amazon Europe Core S.à r.l., 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg) then sets cookies on its own website in order to attribute the referral to us. Amazon is responsible for this processing; we do not receive any personal data about you, only anonymous commission reports. More information: https://www.amazon.de/privacy
6. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit der Freien Hansestadt Bremen, Arndtstraße 1, 27570 Bremerhaven, Germany.
You are not obliged to provide personal data. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

We adapt this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available on this page.
